Joe’s new place and lunch, newsletter editing, dinner at Amedeo’s, and Bear Trap Show Tunes night…

Two peanuts walk into a bar, and one was a salted.

A dyslexic man walked into a bra.

Two cows are standing next to each other in a field. Daisy says to Dolly, “I was artificially inseminated this morning.” “I don’t believe you,” says Dolly. “It’s true, no bull!” exclaims Daisy.

Joe checked in with me late in the morning, and we made plans to meet for lunch.

I drove over to see his new place — today is moving day for him — and it turns out he lives about 5 or 6 units down from my friend Adrienne!

From there, we drove to Taco Bell on Western for a quick lunch.

I stopped at Hillsborough Street Textbook, and picked up an anniversary card and a thank you card, and then walked across and down the street to Tompkins Hall and used Microsoft Publisher on a lab computer to make four newsletter corrections. Grrrrr!

While there, I also filled out the anniversary card, and the thank you card, and addressed them. On the way back to my car, I dropped the mail into the mailbox outside the little post office off Hillsborough Street. Check.

I had a short phone conversation with Myra today, during which she told me that Sarah, from Wednesday night’s dinner, had said to her, “That John Martin, he’s welcome to my house at any time.” Affirmation.

I drove down to Helios, where I caught up some of my blog, with Kevin (av8rdude) joining me there after a short while.

I met Joe for dinner at Amedeos, where he’d never eaten before. I had their Amemdeo Salad Special, which I’d never eaten before. Delish!

Joe and I met Kevin (av8rdude) at Flex for Show Tunes Night, where we were surprised to find the place packed. Bear Trap weekend.

We had a fun night hanging out with Chris (zinnian), and ended up at Shanghai Express at 2:00 in the morning. zinnian drove us (like a madman) there, but we were grateful as none of us was in any condition to drive.
