Working from home and Helios, Power of Attorney invoked, and exercising…

First thing this morning, I had an e-mail from Kevin’s realtor saying that his place contracted, and asking if I’d be available some time today to sign paperwork on his behalf.

I worked from home this morning, and from Helios this afternoon. Two notable things happened at Helios today:

  1. My cell phone battery was getting low, so I plugged it in to charge it. However, I had it on vibrate, as I try to do whenever I’m in any establishment, and so I stuck it into my pocket so that I could feel it vibrate if it rang. After a couple of minutes, it occurred to me that with that cord running into my pocket, it might look like I was recharging myself.
  2. At one point, there was this commotion over by the cash register, and about 5 seconds later almost everyone in the place looked up and around. It turns out what got knocked off the counter by the register was the router. Everyone had lost their Internet connections.

Kevin’s realtor showed up at 6:00 instead of 6:15, which was fine. She wasn’t really sure if, with this power of attorney, I should sign my name or his name on all of the contracts.

I suggested that perhaps I should sign my own name, and the power of attorney would show that my signature was the equivalent of his—as the alternative seemed a little bit like forgery to me.  I’m just saying…

Albeit, perhaps I still have “white collar crimes” on my mind from Saturday.

This is kinda funny—mostly because it comes on the heel of my handwriting meme of the other day: As soon as I signed the first of about 11 pages, the realtor said, “Oh my god. You have beautiful handwriting, especially for a man.”

I’ve just, like, had to, like, put in, like, some earbuds, because, like, this girl, like behind me, is talking like so loud, and like, using like as every other word. I’ve pointed to this before; I’m pointing to it again.

I had a late workout tonight, and did upper body, crunches, and cardio. I increased the weight on three machines tonight—the rowing machine, the chest press machine, and the shoulder press machine.
