Worked from home, voted in a runoff, exercised, and drank too much…

I worked from home today, with laundry going on in the background.

I participated in a conference call, during which IBM editors talked about the subject: Global Writing Teams and Working with Writers Whose First Language Isn’t English.

One person used these two words while talking: templative and formulaic. Templative, which I don’t think is a word, was in the context of writing that is written by using a template. Formulaic, to my surprise, is a word.

I can definitely tell that I increased the weight on three of the upper body machines yesterday—every time I raise my arms.

I like this recent one from indexed.blog:

And often barefoot.

I ran out to vote during lunch. It’s a runoff election, and “voter turnout is expected to be low.”  I’ll say…

The voting day was half over (6 out of 12 hours), and when I slid my ballot into the voting machine, the counter changed to a whopping:

Joe met me in the gym parking lot, where I gave him his birthday package that his sister had delivered to my house last week, afraid of it arriving at his house when he was traveling for work.

Today was an all-cardio day for me.

I met Joe out at Flex, where it was karaoke night. We played three games of pool, during which Van (the soldier) arrived. Weird. Just yesterday, or the day before, I had thought, “Van hasn’t been here for a while.” Turns out he was in the Middle East for six months.

I’m just going to say this about the rest of the evening: Drank. Too. Much.
