9 hours sleep, exercising, Manbites minutes, Arbitron capture, and an affirmation…

I had nine glorious hours of sleep last night. Yay! I had waffles and eggs for breakfast today. It’s been forever since I’ve had waffles.

I had an early afternoon workout, and in preparing to leave for the gym discovered that I’ve lost my water bottle. In the car, I confirmed I hadn’t left it there, and the folks at the Planet Fitness desk told me it wasn’t in their Lost & Found box.

“Might you have left it here yesterday?” the girl behind the counter asked.

“Yes, it’s possible,” I replied.

“Well, it was all girls when we closed last night, so one of us just ran in the men’s locker room real quickly, so it’s possible that if you left it in one of the lockers it could still be in there.”

Unfortunately, it wasn’t. I’m not optimistic that it will show up, as it is a pretty nice water bottle—actually a cycling water bottle, heavily insulated, and fitted for its slot on my bike. Oh well.

I spent about an hour-and-a-half or two hours formatting the Manbites Dog board meeting minutes that I took yesterday. That was more time than I had hoped to spend, but quite frankly was not surprised that it took that long, as I’ve taken a lot of board meeting minutes in my life, and it always takes me that long to get them the way I want them, which is just so.

At any rate, I felt good about them when I sent them to Ed and Jeff, so that’s all that really matters.

Well, today was the midway point of documenting my radio listening habits for Arbitron. Here’s how it’s looking so far:

I wanted to capture this e-mail affirmation:

Hey John,

It was so fun to banter with you last night at Flex. You are an instant party waiting to happen!

Well – we experienced our first Leather Night. However, we must say it was a bit anticlimactic. We were not expecting free use of a sling but there was something missing that I cannot quite put my finger on something like—I don’t know—LEATHER! Oh well… we still enjoyed ourselves.

Since you are adverse to a Chinese foot message—how about a nice, relaxing ear canal cleaning? Don’t believe me? See this story from ” The New York Times” . You can sip some tea at a local tea house and also receive an ear irrigation. Perhaps you can find a Chinese hairy man to do it for you.
