Non-bored board meeting!

Book club meeting was good today. We didn’t discuss the book, but that’s not why it was good. 🙂 Sharon talked about her new car, and on our walk out, just the two of us, confessed her concern about Nicholas probably having had a brain injury when he had his near-drowning. I feel for her, … Read more

I had a skip-level meeting with Rich at the end of the day today. We had a good chat, and he made me feel good about my contributions. We had some clarification on my “dress code policy as it pertains to our gender, and gender expression non-discrimination policies” note. I made a delicious sweet and … Read more

With trepidation…

I got up at about 8:30, and rode my bike up and down Kent street to see if my tube was going to pop before riding all the way out to Carborro. So far, so good, but I can’t help being a little worried. I arrived in Carborro at the Food Lion off 54 in … Read more

Playing games…

Uneventful day at work. Quarterly IDWB L1 rep meeting. Standard fare. I got to games night at about 8:30, and after a few minutes was thinking, “Why am I here?” The night got better as it went along, though. Jules was there, taking over Rusty’s “job,” so that was neat. A group of us, Matt, … Read more

I worked from home today, and started at about 6:50AM. I wanted to be able to stop at 3:00 and go for a training ride, since we didn’t ride last weekend. I wanted to do the 25-mile Falls of Neuse ride that we did on March 23rd. The day was uneventful, work-wise, with only the … Read more

No fool like an April fool…

We had book club meeting at lunch today. Suzanne was absent. We discussed the book any way, and had good discussion. We realized that we’ve made much progress, and are close to finishing the book. I handed out next week’s assignment. Mary gave me her check for $69, which officially puts me at my goal … Read more

Management survey taxing…

At work we had a feedback session on the recent climate survey we took in Tivoli. All of Mathis’ responses were suppressed because the tool showed only two respondents in his department. This is a shame because I believe the results would have been eye-opening for him. I expressed my position that hearing that these … Read more

Catching up…

We woke up early and MMMMMMMMMMMMMed. I went back to sleep. We got up at almost 10:00, and Robert made us a killer breakfast consisting of an egg, cheese, and chourico omelet. Yum!
