Back to work… and Courtney arrives…

Today was the first day back at work. Pretty uneventful. I worked until about 7:30. I picked up Courtney at the airport at about 10:45PM. We ate (surprise, surprise!) and listened to my recordings from my ride, and then hit the sack.

Homeward bound…

We got up at around 9:00 with construction being done to the hotel. I had a great night’s sleep, though. We packed up and checked out at about 11:00. We walked down to a bakery I knew of on the way to the subway stop. We walked by it, and checked out some of the … Read more

Tour de Friends Day 4

Once again, it was a restless night, and we were up bright and early with the noise all around us. It’s an exciting day to be up, though, as it’s the home stretch. We packed our gear, and actually chose to forgo breakfast this morning, thinking it not worth having to trudge through the incredible … Read more

We found out today that we’re supposed … Read more

We scrambled around in the tent trying to change clothes, re-pack, and get … Read more

Tour De Friends Day 1

We woke up at about 6:00, and I got the last of my packing done. I also logged on, and comprised an “I’m off!” e-mail to my supporters, and attached two pictures of Michelle, and one of Ken, from the AIDS Alliance’s Appreciation Cookout last Sunday. I called Joe to let him know that there … Read more

Ride prep…

I’m catching up this entry, so can’t remember the exact details of the day. I know Courtney called me to invite me to the Nora Jones concert, and I told her I had too much going on getting ready for my ride on Thursday. Then Jay called me on the spur of the moment to … Read more

Dinner with Janet…

Started off the day with the PFLAG presentation in B500. There were a disappointing, I think, six people present. What a bummer. I enjoyed the presentation though, loved listening to the two PFLAG parents telling their story. The retired Baptist minister sharing his story was particularly interesting. I asked them what the most common impetus … Read more
