Robert left for work at about 7:15. I vacuumed the house, and straightened up. Vivian and Jeff arrived at about 11:00. We got the bed upstairs, and then went to Chili’s for lunch. They stopped by Crabtree on the way back to Greenville. I went back to the house.
Steve called, and we made tentative plans to go out to the Greek Festival at the fairgrounds and eat Baklava later in the afternoon. He called later, and wasn’t up to it.
In the meantime, Gregor called, and I met him at Third Place for coffee. Always a great time with him. I mentioned the story of the drunk guy at CCs, and he said, “Really? At about 2AM, when I was leaving Legends, I passed an EMS over that way.” Hmmmmm. We spent a good couple of hours chatting at Third Place.
While there, Jay called to ask me if I was still going to stop by to pick up the two pieces of furniture I’m buying from him. I really didn’t feel like doing it, but made myself.
I stopped by the recycling center at the Jaycee Park to drop off that totally useless, and wasteful, helium tank. That recycle center was an absolute pig sty.
Jay helped me load the two items into my car and trunk. The small item fit in the back seat, and the dresser hung halfway out of the trunk. When I got home, I pimped in my townhouse parking lot waiting for someone to come home or out of their house to ask them to help me take the chest into the house. The poor sucker across the street came out on his porch to use his cell phone. I nabbed him when his conversation was over. He was sort of hot, but sort of not. He was totally uninterested in me.
I got the September TCW meeting minutes done. That felt good.
I love my life.
