Today was a “finishing up” day at work, it being Casey’s, Sue’s, and my last day. I finished up touches on the Unix installation guide, and printed out copies for Gil and Dan to use on their next install.
We had a “going away” lunch, a late one, with me, Kim, Sue, and Casey eating at The Yard House. Sue had to have salmon. Casey and Sue left directly from there to go to the airport. We said good-bye outside in the mall. I wanted to hug Casey good-bye, and I’m not quite sure why I didn’t. Maybe I wanted to know if he wanted to hug me good-bye. I don’t know. Regrets.
I spent the afternoon installing software on Kim’s machine, and connecting her to some Lotus Notes databases, and showing her a few short cuts and customizations. We called it quits around 4:00, and I volunteered to drive her home, since she was without a car.
After dropping her off, I stopped by the hotel to change, and then head down to Laguna Beach to meet Paul and his friends at Woody’s. Several of the guys that he hangs out with there, who are going on the cruise in March, were there, and it was nice to meet them. I had dinner there with one of his friends named Robert. Nice guys. Should be a fun time on the cruise.
Slept my last night at the Candlewood Suites. Odd, yet nice, leaving there for the last time.
