I straightened out that damn Cingular bill for mom, and called her at lunch time. I asked her what time Dad’s appointment on the 27th was, and after his retrieving the appointment card, found out it was actually on the 25th at 9AM. This is good news, as I’ve decided to attend that appointment. I want to hear what the doctor has to say, and then talk to him or her afterward about the “surprise factor” of this anniversary celebration, and the traveling.
I got my hair cut with Thomas. We talked, seriously, about possibly coloring my hair on the next visit. I’m still not sure I want to start that.
I got a call from Rob that he has my check from Vivian. She must have been having a flashback when she addressed that to Azalea Drive! I gave her a call, and we laughed about that, and I caught her up on Dad’s appointment, and my plans to attend it. She was very grateful for that.
I met Gregor at 8:15 for his birthday dinner at Cafe Cyclo in Cameron Village. The conversation started off a little clunky I thought, but got “back on” as the evening progressed. It’s been quite a while since we’ve really gotten together, and we both have tons on our plates and minds.
Speaking of plates, I had the most delicious meal there — the Lemon Grass Chicken, which came with rice and lettuce leaves and julianne carrots and celery slices. Yum. Yum. Yum. I also had a salad with their wasabi dressing, which was hot. My nose had a few workouts eating it.
We finished off with dessert, and mine was fantastic. I had the creme brulee cheesecake, and Gregor had the Bourbon Pecan Pie. We both had a cup of coffee.
Once home, I sent TCW’s RSVP to Kate Shirah, and then did the TCW minutes. I finished after midnight, but as always, it felt so good to have them done.
I missed the FedEx delivery attempt of my Verizon phone, which irritates me.
