I spent most of the day doing my assignment for Monday. I did a document analysis of an NC State brochure for their “Management Academy,” which earns you a certificate in Business Management.
I stopped at around 5:00, showered, and ran to Crabtree to the Cingular store. After more thinking than I wanted to do, I decided on a phone for mom, but when asked for it, found out they were out of stock.
He told me the model and said that mom ought to be able to buy it in Jacksonville. I don’t want to have her do that; she is too intimidated at the store there, and they have little patience with a 72-year old.
I decided to run to the new mall off 540, but thought to call on the way. Good thing. They were out of stock on it as well. I will call a couple of the other stores Monday that are only open until five, and see if I can get one there. It’s good just to have it settled on which one to get.
I stopped at the grocery store on the way back and stocked up with a bunch of stuff for salad. I had the brilliant idea of buying one bottle of Catalina dressing and one bottle of Fat Free Catalina dressing. At home, I poured them both into a big bowl, mixed them together, and then refilled both bottles. Now I can have 4 tablespoons of dressing for 3 points. That’s the deal.
I made an absolutely delicious salad, and ate every last drop. I think I’m going to stay in point-range for today. I need to, to keep me motivated.
I finished my paper at 10:30, and left for Flex with 6-points to spare for today. I had two drinks all night, which is four points, so ended the night in range, two under, in fact.
It was “double leather night” at Flex, with the local “Tradesman” leather group and the “Virgina Rogues” leather group co-hosting the night.
Steve and Joe arrived sometime after 11:00, and we chatted with Matt for a while. After a while, Joe and I went to CC’s, and Steve went “home.”
Most of the Flex crowd had migrated to CC’s by then, so it was more of the same. We saw Patrick, who was a little cold to us, and chatted with Chris for a while, who eventually introduced a friend of his (from Virginia, I think) to Joe, since they had both expressed interest in each other to Chris.
I left at about 1:30, quarter to two.
