Website project, dinner with Joe, and Flex (again!)…

I worked on my website project all day today. I accessed my NCSU “locker space,” after downloading and installing three programs: X-Windows, something called PUTTY, and an SSH client. I don’t know how non-computer students would be expected to navigate through that. I eventually got to my “locker space” and FTPed my website files there.

I also created two more inFORMS, one for the post-test and one for the survey, which went smoothly. That’s all very cool. I finished most of the content today, and over the next couple of days will work on the style presentation, and I hope, have time to get a “usability test” in by someone.

I drove over to Joe’s for 6:00, and finally saw his place. It’s very nice. It made me want to do something with my place to make it a little nice, but I doubt it happens.

We ate at a Quizno’s near his place. There was an older couple in front of us who drove us nuts.

“Would you like everything on that, sir?”

[mouth open looking through bottom of bifocals, loud and crotchety] “Well, what’s everything?”

Then he and the Mrs. fumbled with some damn coupons trying to use two when told they could only use one. Grrrrrrrrr.

It was pretty dead when we got to Flex. We played about four games of pool, and then Loren arrived. I played one game against him, and then another against Joe. It was so not happening there, that we left even before the Karaoke started.

I worked on my website until about midnight. Finished up the survey form. Putting that damn fieldset tag around the parental status data just gave me fits!
