I worked a lot on our group project today. I’m pretty pleased with the progress. I sent the changes to Tanya and Will in hopes that they hadn’t yet started updating the presentation, too. I hope we don’t run into “version control” issues on the Powerpoint presentation.
Jay picked me up at about 6:40, and I was standing out front, on the phone, talking to Jeane when he pulled up. I was returning her call of last Friday about how to claim a “gift” of $11,000 on your taxes.
Jay’s mom was in the back seat, and it was great to see her again.
At Michael Dean’s, Jay was feeling awful, and ended up going out to his car to lie down while we ate. We offered to just leave, but he insisted that we stay and eat, so we did. His mom is a real delight, and we had great conversation.
My meal was fantastic. I had Alaskan Halibut, in the wood-fired oven, with a lobster cream sauce on it, and then made it “Oscar style,” adding crab meat, asparagus, and a Hollandaise sauce. Delicious!
Back at home, I had a short AIM conversation with Robert, which was nice, and a later one with Irene, which was very brief, but nice as always.
I made a couple of updates to the script for our group project, and finished the handout I’m creating called “I Blog Like a Girl!” I sent an email to Will and Tanya with the correction to the script, a request to add a row to a table in one of my slides, a copy of my handout, and initiated the scheduling of our “rehearsal” meeting, probably on Sunday.
