I had a great meeting with Greg and Govind, during which we discussed process strategies and ISO implications for the WIM/TUM projects. I felt like I provided a lot of value-add in the meeting, and sensed that they thought so, and appreciated it. I’m going to enjoy working with them. Govind is a pleasure, and Greg is hot.
I met Courtney down in the cafeteria for lunch. She caught me up on the department drama, which seems to be omnipresent with that group. She has a lot of things up in the air right now in both her professional and personal life. We went for a walk after we ate.
I spent the next two hours preparing for my 3:00 Diversity Education session for Mark’s area. It went better than I thought it would, and ended after about a half hour, though we had an hour scheduled for it. Of course, afterwards, I thought of several things I could have done or said that would have made it better. Oh well. The employees are undoubtedly happy to have their annual requirement out of the way, and the managers are undoubtedly glad that they didn’t have to do it.
I spent the last hour, getting out last minute e-mails, recording my voicemail out-of-the-office message, and activating my e-mail out-of-the-office notification. I left at about 5:15.
Dr. Dicks’ class was pretty good. When I sat down, Tanya asked me if I was ready for my trip, which prompted others to ask, “Where’re you going?”
“Greece.”
Oohs and Ahs all about. Then, I think her name is, Amelia told me that she collects children’s books from all over the world, and that she’d love one from Greece. “I’ll pay you for it when you get back,” she said.
My phone went off twice during class, on vibrate of course, once with a message from Robert, the other from Joe.
At home, I had dinner, and started laundry. Robert arrived close to 10:00, and between and after laundry we did the latest Independent crossword puzzle.
