During work today, David Del Toro, a visiting IBMer (for 8 months!) from Miami, posted to the EAGLE database that he wanted to know if there’s anything to do here in Raleigh. Between Kevin, Eric, and Jay, we quickly connected and set up plans for the day.
I met Jay and Dave at Baja Burrito on Avent Ferry, where I got a burrito no beans, and promptly wrapped half for Robert. Dave followed me up Avent Ferry and where I turned right onto Athens Drive, I signaled him to continue straight, as he wanted to check out the Lake Johnson area.
Robert and I arrived at my house at virtually the same time. He ate his burrito, and I finished my postcards.
There were not that many dancers tonight, and I wasn’t into it as much as I usually am. Dave was supposed to arrive somewhere between 9:30 and 10, but ended up not getting there until almost 10:30. I hate when I’m waiting/watching for someone, and they’re late. Silly as it sounds, I think that contributed to my “blah” mood for the evening. The idea that this singer was going to show up for an 11:30 performance didn’t help my mood, either.
Kevin and Greg, of the “Piano Lounge” fame, came in for the performance, and Greg made a nice comment about my dancing, which is always appreciated.
I wasn’t impressed with the singer. He was too “loud” for me. We left after he did his second song, Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5.”
<TMI>In bed, Robert did a “slow, slow dance” with me. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. God.</TMI>
I forgot to capture my last Arbitron entry, but I completed it last night, just before midnight. Thank god that’s over with. Tedious.
