Steve came over at about 11:30, and after some bagels for breakfast, we worked on his final portfolio for school, and then his cover letter for a job for which he is applying.
In spite of a lot of talking to catch up, and a few digressions now and then, we were fairly productive.
I put in a load of darks while we worked.
I cooked us a CPK pizza for lunch before he left.
I thought I was putting in the Thai Chicken one, but when I started to slice it, I noticed barbecue sauce under the toppings. I had put the BBQ Chicken one in by mistake.
Oh well. It didn’t stop us from devouring it.

Robert arrived at about 6:30, and at about 6:40, we left to meet Dale, Ben, Jimmy, and Joe at 5 Star for dinner.
Robert had some Hot & Sour Soup, and we shared appetizer orders of dumpling and spring rolls. We then shared a Thai Peanut Chicken entree.
We had parked at Flex and walked to 5 Star, so we walked back, and had a rather comical outfit change session in the car sitting in front of Flex.
Dancing was fairly festive tonight, and it filled up fast with a combination bear and leather night tonight.
Robert and I left shortly after the dancing stopped.
At home, we watched the movie Latter Days, which Kevin (av8rdude) had loaned to me earlier this week.
Movie Synopsis: Aaron Davis (Steve Sandvoss) and Christian Markelli (Wes Ramsey) are the two most opposite people in the world. Aaron is a young Elder (or a Mormon missionary) who wants to do his family proud and is quite passionate about his religion and film. Christian is a shallow WeHo waiter/party boy who only looks forward to bedding a new guy every night. After Aaron and three other missionaries move into the apartment across from Christian, his friends bet him $50 that he can’t get one of them to jump into the sack, so he instantly latches onto Aaron. There are two problems, though – Christian is falling in love with Aaron and the Mormons are not the biggest fans of the homosexual community. Once Aaron is discovered, the two have to go through trials of regret, loss, perseverance, and forgiveness if they both want to get to the thing that matters to them most: each other.
Overall, I was disappointed in this movie. I didn’t think the acting was very good, and at times the lines were a little ridiculous.
On the shallow side, neither of the two leading actors were “my type,” so not even the sex scenes could rescue it for me.
Besides it had a Hollywood ending. And those of you who know my taste in movies know that that is not a good thing to me.
With all that said, I so still appreciate Kevin loaning it to me, because I have been wanting to see it, and he saved me a rental fee on it.
We did remember to spring forward tonight. Remember, it’s Daylight Saving Time not Daylight Savings Time!
