I slept in again this morning. Yay.
My exterminator was supposed to come some time today between 1:00 and 5:00. I was going to call the company to see if they could have him come more toward the 1:00 end than the 5:00 end, but didn’t. He showed up at 1:15. Yay.
I ran to the credit union where I deposited:
- A $7.64 reimbursement check from STC.
- A fifty-dollar birthday check from my parents.
- The $1000 in cash that I’d taken with me to Australian, but ended up not using. Yay.
I met Joe at Helios, where he did work and I did homework.
Joe took me out for a birthday dinner, and I chose Macaroni Grill, as I haven’t been there in ages, haven’t been there much really, but the few times I have, I’ve really liked.
I had this, which was out of this world!
Lobster Ravioli – $14.99
Decadent lobster-filled tarragon pasta topped with sauteed shrimp, asparagus, tomatoes and lemon butter sauce. |
We met at Flex at 8:00, hoping to play some free pool. However it’s Bear Trap weekend, and neither of the pool tables were operational. The one up on the stage wasn’t being used for any purpose, but I assumed it was closed for a contest that was supposed to start at 10:00, which, however, ended up not being held up on the stage at all. The other one was closed, as it was being used for the buffet.
There’s just something about eating dinner in a bar…
The costume contest was supposed to start at 10:00, and ended up starting close to midnight. The judging categories included: Leather, Sexiest, Uniform, Glamor Drag, Cowboy, and Bear (real). I’m not sure what “real” meant after bear.
All in all, I’d say I missed the “usual” Friday night gig—free pool and music videos.
