Totally uneventful day, and it only took me 327 words to describe it…

I met Kevin (av8rdude) at the gym today at 1:00, and when he said hello to me at the ab cruncher machine I was already on when he got there, we both had a comment about the two fire trucks that were out front, sort of between Planet Fitness and the Harris Teeter grocery store next door.

He said, “When I pulled up and saw them, I thought, Uh-oh, John’s had an emergency in there and they’ve come for him.”

That’s funny,” I said; my thought was, “Firemen in the gym. Hot.

It was an all-cardio day for me, which I started with crunches.

Joe had me over to his new home today, where he grilled hamburgers on his new Weber grill.

We started off with cocktails, of course, with appetizers consisting of baby carrots, Lays Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips, and Lays Baked Barbecue Chips, all with Helluva Good French Onion Dip.

I’m quite certain that we made up for the calorie-savings of the baked part by eating multiple servings of each. And those carrots? They always go straight to my hips.

I really hadn’t planned on going out tonight, but Joe re-adujsted my attitude. Tonight was one of those “blackout dance nights” at Flex, at which no one ever dances. So ridiculous to call it that.

Joe said, “Let’s just go out with the attitude that ‘we might just get a drink there.’ That’ll be our only expectation.”

As per expected, no dancing was done, and for all intents and purposes, other than the lights being low, it was a “regular night” there. We hung out with Joe, Phil, Steve, Loren, and Patrick most of the night. At some point later in the evening, all of them except Joe, Patrick, and myself, went over to CCs.

We left about an hour later.
