Starting on our presentation for UNC CAUSE 2010 and running into Miss Gay America 2011 out of drag..

~Sunday~  I slept in—until 11:00. Glorious.

I met Jen at the office at just afternoon, with two quick stops on the way—one at Food Lion, where I nabbed a pack of bagels, and then a quick drive-thru at Bruegger’s for some coffee. In a pleasant surprise, the guy working the drive-thru was customer-oriented, pleasant, and good-looking.

Jen and I spent some time putting together the first draft of an outline for a presentation we’re doing at a conference in two weeks:

And here are the details of our session:

That’s a lot to try and cover in 45 minutes. We’ll see.

I spent an inordinate amount of time today devising my blog entry from yesterday about my thoughts and reactions to that TEDxNCSU event that I attended.

I met Joe at scareyoke at 9:30, and by 10:00 we were so ready to leave, that we did.

We went to Legends, where we had one drink, before getting our wrists stamped for re-entry, since we couldn’t fathom staying there for another hour-and-a-half or more until the midnight show started. For some reason, Cody at the door, thought it was imperative that we be stamped on the outside of our wrists instead of the inside, and he thought it was important to stamp me a second time, because the first attempt was too light. I was not pleased with what ended up looking like a blurred martini glass, because his second stamp was not exactly on top of the first attempt.

I mean I was coming back in an hour. There’s maybe 20 people in the place. And you know me from line-dancing. Missy, please. Really, a simple, “I’ll see you in an hour,” would have been sufficient—stamps completely aside.

After an order of killer guacamole and tortilla chips and a drink at The Borough, we headed back to Legends. We passed Coti Collins, totally out of drag, on the sidewalk, and I said, “Coti?”

“Yes,” he said.

“Congratulations, man,” I said extending my hand.

“Thank you,” he said.

Joe had never seen her out of drag, and his bald head is quite in contrast to his drag persona’s head:
