I was heads down in the Password Synchronization for AIX Plug-in Installation and Configuration Guide update today. I attended an ODC (orthogonal defect classification) training class today from 2:00 — 5:00. Though not directly applicable to what I’m doing at the moment, it was an intellectually stimulating class.
I stopped at White Rabbit on the way home and bought some cards — one for Jay’s birthday, one for Janet’s birthday, one to send to my sister some time (a sacrilegious one), and a repeat one that I bought in NYC once, that I just love. I have to remember who I gave the last one to; I think I know. To pay for them, I used up the remainder of that voucher I got for selling my used books to the store.
I had the rest of the CPK Thai Chicken pizza for dinner.
I had a decently early night for a change, hitting the sack at 11:30.
A Nice Thought to End the Week
One evening an old man told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two “wolves” inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute, and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”
The old man simply replied, “The one you feed.”
