I walked the lake in silence today. Get off the cross, we need the wood.
I met Robert at the Carolina Theater in Durham, and we saw Capote.
Movie Synopsis: Truman Capote (Hoffman), during his research for his book In Cold Blood, an account of the murder of a Kansas family, the writer develops a close relationship with Perry Smith, one of the killers.
OMG. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent. It will be a surprise, and a travesty, if Philip Seymour Hoffman doesn’t get an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Truman in this movie.
I’d heard great things about this movie, as well as about Good Night, and Good Luck, George Clooney‘s latest venture.
I have to say, though, that we saw the previews for it, and though I am a huge fan of George Clooney’s, I was not engaged by what I saw, and will probably not see the movie.
I was going to meet Joe out after the movie, but when I checked in with him, he’d not awakened from his nap when his alarm went off hours ago, and it would have been another hour or so before he would be ready to go out. We decided to bag it, instead, with which I was totally cool.
