Kevin (av8rdude) and I had a little miscommunication about the gym today. I thought we had agreed to meet there at 1:00. He thought we were going to check in, but shoot for 1:00.
Enter social networking. He checked to see if I was on AIM, and not finding me, checked my status on brightkite, where he saw that I had “checked in” at Planet Fitness.

From the “Only in America” column of the May 23, 2008 issue of The Week magazine:
A woman is suing the city of Norwalk, Conn., claiming that her son stepped in dog excrement during a visit to its aquarium. Kelly DeBrocky says she was “just really skeeved” by the incident, and is seeking $54 to cover the cost of new shoes for her 1-year-old son.
City attorney Jeffry Spahr said he believed DeBrocky’s story, but questions the legal merits of her case. “Poop happens,” said Spahr, adding that he himself has stepped in dog excrement many times without ever having to purchase new shoes. “I just squirt them off,” said Spahr. |
I had quite the heartwarming conversation with my cousin, Lisa, who lives in Atlanta. We talked about the e-mail she sent me yesterday, outlining a request from my aunt and uncle, her mother and father.
I hope an in-person reunion between us will occur again soon.
I went to Rebecca’s [ENG] 675 Reunion Party, which to my delight was just down the street. In attendance: Tyler, Sandy, Lindsay, and of course, Rebecca and myself.
Tyler is quite the character, a very animated story-teller, and a pleasure to be around. It was a nice gathering with good conversation, and delicious build-your-own pizzas with little round tortillas to use as the crust—a great idea for cute, little, lighter-carb pizzas.
Dancing was fun tonight. We had only five dancers: Carl, Bill, Robert, me, and Michael, but there was a good crowd, including “Rose,” who was very complimentary about our dancing, and a gentleman friend who was there with her.
On the way home, we stopped at the Cook Out drive-thru, where we got a banana shake to split. Yummmmmmmy!
Oh yeah, a shout out to fattastic for reminding me that today was 06/07/08.
Not to mention that at five seconds after four minutes after three o’clock in the morning, and then at 11 seconds after 10 minutes after nine o’clock this morning it was 03:04:05 06/07/08 09:10:11.
