My process meeting went quite well today — very upbeat for a change. Helen acted on Alan’s behalf.
At about 3:30, we got an e-mail from Dr. Dicks that he had food poisoning, and class was canceled. Darn. I was all ready to turn in my brochure. Oh well. Might make one last change to it now, moving “Crape Myrtle Festival” from the third bullet to the first, since it is an “ethos generating element.”
I took advantage of “found time” by going to work out. I got elliptical machine number one, dead on to the “fountain of hotness.” It was interesting watching folks come up to that water fountain, which had a towel lying across the drain part. Some people immediately took it for out of order, and walked away. Many people, though, tried it to see if it still worked, and when it did, would just use it. In the course of 30 minutes, I only saw one person look underneath, after using it, to see if anything might be leaking on the floor. And, usually, if one person was drinking from it, people would wait in line and use it when they might not otherwise have if they’d come up to it on their own. Just interesting human behavior. Oh yeah, the men were hot, too. 🙂
I burned off 400 calories in my 30 minute workout, with my heart rate averaging 142.
My maximum heart rate is 174. My target heart rate range is: 130.5 (lower limit), 147.9 (upper limit).
At home, I did make that final update to the brochure, moving the Crape Myrtle bullet item to the top of the list. I will resend it to Kinkos for a reprint tomorrow.
I worked some more on Jeanie-baby’s taxes. She is going to get a shit-load of money back if what I’ve got done so far is any indication. I sent another question, about the date she established residency in Boca, to Phyl and Jimmy. I hope things are okay down there; they still haven’t answered my previous note, but I just sent it yesterday.
